Every morning I drive from St Albans to Welwyn Garden City, and return again in the evening. I have noticed that there usually is something happening along the way, so I thought I would start writing it down. The roads I will mainly cover is A1081, A414, A6129, A1(M) between junction 3 and 4

Overturned vehicle between J4 and J3 A1(M)
Highway agency is reporting that southbound A1(M) between Junction 6 and 4 there are currently delays of 15 minutes due to an overturned vehicle between Junction 3 and 4. The northbound slip road at junction 4 is currently closed. Normal traffic conditions expected at 11:30 Link
